We did an investigation of Robinson Woods on 10-4-07 after reading several accounts of it being haunted. There is a memorial there marking the burial place of Chief Chee Chee Pin Quay (a.k.a. Alexander Robinson). There were many different reports ranging from strange sounds (most specifically, the sound of tom-tom drums), moving lights and strange scents. We were not there long before we concluded there was no way to do a thorough investigation of this area. It is directly off the main road near the intersection of East River Road and Lawrence Avenue. There is constant traffic noise from all sides and also several nearby restaurants. We concluded that the tom-tom drum sound could very well have been the distant sound of car tires. You would also be able to see car lights in nearly every direction at night, which is a way to explain the "moving lights". And the various different scents could have been anything, including all of the nearby restaurants and establishments. So, we're not so sure there is any paranormal activity going on there, but it is a nice, historical place to visit none-the-less.
